Villa Santa Lucia
La casa al lago, conosciuta come Villa Dexter o Villa Santa Lucia, è stata costruita nel 1940, si affaccia direttamente sul Lago Ceresio ed è adiacente al Lido di Melano.
Dopo la morte degli ultimi proprietari, gli eredi hanno deciso di mettere in vendita la proprietà.
Il comune ha saputo cogliere l'opportunità di acquisirla nel 2018 e mettere il giardino a disposizione del pubblico e la casa per eventi culturali.
La Villa è rimasta praticamente congelata nel tempo, e gli spazi sono organizzati come in una classica abitazione, questo però non impedisce lo sfruttamento del luogo per esposizioni artistiche.
Negli anni si sono succeduti eventi quali mostre di: pittura, fotografia, musica, installazioni, video, film e poesia.
Il suo parco è a disposizione della cittadinanza, con le panchine e il suo manto erboso che si affacciano sul lago Ceresio.
Villa Santa Lucia
The lakeside house, known as Villa Dexter or Villa Santa Lucia, was built in 1940; it looks directly onto Lake Lugano and stands next to the Melano lido.
After the death of the last owners, the heirs decided to put the property up for sale.
The municipality seized the opportunity to buy it in 2018, opening the garden to the public and the house to cultural events.
The villa has remained practically frozen in time, with its rooms laid out like those of a traditional home; this, however, does not prevent the place from being used for art exhibitions.
Over the years it has hosted events such as exhibitions of painting and photography, music, installations, video, film and poetry.
Its park is open to everyone, with benches and a lawn looking out over Lake Lugano.

Das Haus am See, bekannt als Villa Dexter oder Villa Santa Lucia, wurde 1940 gebaut; es liegt direkt am Luganersee und grenzt an das Strandbad von Melano.
Nach dem Tod der letzten Besitzer beschlossen die Erben, das Anwesen zu verkaufen.
Die Gemeinde hat die Gelegenheit genutzt und es 2018 erworben, um den Garten der Öffentlichkeit und das Haus kulturellen Veranstaltungen zur Verfügung zu stellen.
Die Villa ist praktisch in der Zeit stehen geblieben, die Räume sind wie in einem klassischen Wohnhaus angeordnet; das hindert jedoch nicht daran, den Ort für Kunstausstellungen zu nutzen.
Im Laufe der Jahre fanden hier Veranstaltungen statt wie Ausstellungen von Malerei und Fotografie, Musik, Installationen, Video, Film und Poesie.
Der Park steht der Bevölkerung offen, mit Bänken und einer Rasenfläche mit Blick auf den Luganersee.
